What Remains

I first found Saxon Mills (AKA: Phillips Fibers) by accident. I was driving through Spartanburg, "just soaking my head," when I saw it. I was enamored.

A year later, having forgotten its location, I would spend nearly half a day in search of the Mill, driving almost aimlessly, propelled only by the effervescent fumes of a year-old memory. I did find it. By accident. Again.

I was joyous. I would not forget its location a second time.

That same night, I discovered UER. I learned that my desire to penetrate the factory was not altogether shunned; rather, it was encouraged and even facilitated by like-minded individuals such as you-who-read-this.

Thank you. Because of you, I acquainted myself with the old factory.

When I am a full member, I will submit a folio, documenting my second (most recent) excursion into the mill's bowels.

As a small teaser, I will confide that I gained entry by posing as a journalist documenting the effects of the Mill's past two fires. I guess I was telling the truth.
