After reading through all the beginner forums I see that uploading 50 pictures isn't a good idea. Tried to narrow them down to 10...but ended up with 14. Also searched for other threads and only found one from 2014 with B/W photos so figured it was OK to start my own

Workshop? Yes. Tour? No. Got lost...more than a few times! Had to join up with 2 other people just as lost as me to try to find the Loom. http://www.abandon....us/news73678.html

This place is a f'n maze! Welcome to the forums. Yes, good call boiling it down to a handful of pictures. It is generally frowned upon to name drop places here due to the illegal nature of the hobby (in this case it doesn't really matter as it's mostly done with permission nowadays). And you are always welcome to start your own thread with your own pictures

Lol, what is with all the BOWLING ALLIES in unexpected places? Hospitals, sanitariums, factories...I wouldn't be surprised if there is an abandoned PRISON somewhere with bowling in the basement. :p

Well I know the bowling alley at this location was for the factory workers. Well something to do with their families as well.

In this case I'm sure it was to keep employee moral up. A lace factory was a dirty, loud and dangerous place to work back then. In the case of hospitals I imagine it was something to keep the patients occupied more than anything. Great shots by the way! I would have a hard time swallowing the $150 fee. But at least they gave you free roam of the place.

You can go almost any day you want for free. Hell, when my friend and I went, the owner had given permission to a bunch of photographers already and we ran into them. The owner wasn't even there so we just walked around without a care.
