Wanted to go ahead and post the details and pictures from my first explore, an abandoned home in Michigan. The house and the curve along which the house is located have a haunting story/curse associated with them, but unless someone asks I won't go into detail. My exploring friend and I have been on the hunt for places to UE. We spent the better half of a Wednesday scouting, with no intention to actually explore. Of course we got antsy and, after eyeing this house up a bit, decided to dip our toes and see what would happen. That being the case, all of these pictures were dinkily snapped on my phone, so judge accordingly
Status of the House The house has been abandoned for 40+ years, as far as I've been able to find out. The grounds around it haven't been cared for once throughout my lifetime. The windows and doors have a similar story; they haven't been present since before the owner's journey into the spirit realm. Dangers (I'll elaborate below) -Poison ivy -Bees -Ceiling collapse -Floor collapse -Cultists and misc. dangerous locals (I'm dead serious)
1. The first picture, which more or less shows the structural state of the house, and all that is visible from the road. 2. The lovely view from the back. The farthest corner in the back of this house (rightmost point in the photo) houses a large colony of bees. I could almost hear their buzzing from the road. 3. Inside the front door (no way we were coming in from the back)
4. My first thought upon seeing the pentagram was that the local sect had found its way to the house. My 'sploring buddy is adamant that it was just local teens. I agree, but it remains relevant that the nearby town has had a problem with some sort of cult operating out of the woods near the town's cemetery. I've only heard bits and pieces of these stories, but I'd really like to ask around the community and see if I can't piece a whole story together.
5. Looking into the hallway at the back of the house. 6.
7. Master bed underneath the slanted side of the house, ft my friend's hand. 8.
9. These stairs look pretty sketchy at first. You can see in 8 and 9 how they slant. I wasn't so much afraid of falling through them as I was my weight forcing them to continue their descent into the wall.
10. I didn't dare step any further than this into the top story. Would really like to take a picture of the "cursed" road from that window. Maybe someday if the top floor doesn't collapse.
