For at least this location, I would say it's all about the height. Could care less about the "wall art" as you call it. The views of the city you can get from the most elevated spots of these silos are worth many a return trip.

Also, as trashed as this place is, it can be a jungle gym for those who are suckers for industrial locations.

I called it wall art because as much as I can't F'n stand the sight of 90% of the crap sprayed and pasted on the walls by wanna be street artists, I know there are some folks on here that like it and didn't want to totally dis it..... which I guess I just did.

Unfortunate news. Just went back today. Some of the walls have been opened and the homeless have been evicted. Many of the fences are torn down. A guard was stationed there and when we talked to him he told us a fire had been started inside and a baby had been killed. The police are currently going in and out quite frequently. This location is gone. At least until things quite down. I wouldn't be surprised if there is now pressure to renovate/demolish. A sad sad day.

The man who owns the storage space next to it backed his story up. Also I did see the fire marks. And it could have been homeless (those deaths aren't often covered). But yes it could be complete bull shit. This is just what I was told by those two but it is entirely possible its a scare tactic . But the place is more open now. And there is a guard. I guess that's the big part.

So the place is haunted by the spirit of a back alley aborted crack baby?
And a guard.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

This place is beyond renovation. I don't know much about demolition but something tells me this would be a complicated one to tear down. However, sealing up & a permanent guard? Easy. RIP to this one. Fear the baby ghost!

UECAL and I were looking at getting inside here today. There was a guard posted right out front and we saw a group of explorers get busted by security trying to get in before we were even able to. The security guard was very into her job as well. Definitely not one of the "cool" guards. But strangely enough we saw a group of teenagers running around on the bridge in between the two structures.

I was there the day before the fire. I was surprised when it popped up on the news the next day, and a few people I know drove past it. When I was there it was still the one bum and i hadn't seen the other that sleeps in the tent in awhile. When I was there I didn't see any babies laying around... and i agree with RescueMe1060. There is no way that a baby dying in the fire didnt make it to the news. Sad to see the view from this place locked away.

the guard might be just for show, as in, oh crap there was a fire here and drew so much of the publics attention that we need to do damage control.

Such a great spot. It's all about getting up high, crossing that catwalk and seeing the huge CCTV guy (my first). A wonderful explore, very glad I went with someone who knew the way.

I was there earlier today scoping it out. There is still a guard, in a car marked Allied Universal. I assume it is for the silos, as the car is sitting in front of a hole in the barbed wire.

I found another P.O.E. out of the sightline of that guard, at least I think I did. It was getting dark so I didn't actually go in. Planning on going back in the next couple days. If anyone wants to join me, let me know
