Usually enter this place at 5am to watch the sunrise from the roof. That mural is quite pretty lit up.

Just so that you guys know, I think they recently added barb wire on the catwalk between the larger tower and the "crane" like structures. To add on to that the homeless man was not extremely pleasant and chased me out screaming unidentifiable words. Had a few protein bars to give him, but there was no time to negotiate.

I tried to go there a day or two ago at night. This seemed to be a bad decision because some questionable man claiming to be the homeless man living in the silos was out front with a car trying to get me to jump it. I decided it wasnt worth the risk and drove away. Does anyone have a description of the one guy that does live there? I've heard some stories about him being chill, and ones in this thread where he chases them out screaming and has knives in his camp?

We went in through the left tower if you're facing the big fence, after going through the hole there was a bunch of junk which was most likely a camp of sorts, there was a dude in there but didn't even acknowledge our presence. It was too dark to get a good description

I finally went to the location with another UER member and it ended up being okay. We ran into two homeless men. One of which offered to show us the way up, which we kindly declined.

I was planning on going here, does anyone know if there are any security measures that could prevent me from entering? Thank you

Are you talking about these towers above the dockyard? I feel like anyone who is brave enough to try & get over into these would be pushing their luck with the stability of the walkways. Not saying it can't be done, I just think the danger aspect spikes substantially

They are not actually that bad. Besides a few missing floor pieces they are quite stable. We even did some climbing on the rafters.1.

Indeed it is quite large. It's my camera backpack and I keep my cheap laptop in there. Despite all of that it's actually not heavy at all I usually have no problems exploring with it.

Just a question, what is the allure of going to a place that is so thrashed and obviously well known/picked over?

Is it seeing the wall art in person? Not hating on the spot or the images, just trying to get a different perspective for why folks explore.

For at least this location, I would say it's all about the height. Could care less about the "wall art" as you call it. The views of the city you can get from the most elevated spots of these silos are worth many a return trip.

Also, as trashed as this place is, it can be a jungle gym for those who are suckers for industrial locations.
