Does anyone offer UER decals? I'd like to have a few to show some support on my bike and to let fellow explorers know it's me if we happen to cross paths. If not, I actually have access to a vinyl cutter that can do pretty large jobs. If there is enough interest and I can get permission from UER, I can definitely produce some decals. I would need some sort of official design from you guys though. Anyway, thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing from you all.

And you were doing so well... My UER bumper sticker has stopped the pulls overs and strip searches by the Border Patrol. I use my UER ID for quick police processing and discounts at the ER. Not sure if it's the site or my Android but I'm having trouble with the link for the UER store: http://www.uer.ca/store/default.asp

I don't get anything when I click on the store either. It just has a page that says "view cart"

I got Ninja's book one time, but then that went offline too. Really though would you want to see UER stickers on the walls along with tags at a site? Word of mouth is the best advertising and that word, good or bad gets around...

I keep them with the dead hooker in the trunk.

I didn't really want to stick them on random walls and such. I got the idea when I was reading about the local meetup in my area. The person who made the meetup recommended the first UER member to arrive at the meetup spot should put his/her UER keychain on the table to indicate it was him/her. Seeing as there are no UER keychains to purchase in the shop, I figured I could slap a decal on my bike to indicate the same thing.

Yes, but you know what would invariably happen. It's Av's call; his site and copyright. I guess the Phantom could go to using Phantom stickers if he still exists, but that would take away the personal touch

I still say the UER card was the greatest idea EVER.

Is that the dude whose graffiti tag is literally on every site I've been to all up and down the Northeast? (well, not literally every one, but a good damn chunk of them)

You mean the Nan Vet that drove in a small pickup truck with a bunch of kids stuffed animals in it? No such thing

Av decided to permanently close the UER store unfortunately. I guess he just never got rid of the link in the left nav.

Just purchase a pack or two of those vinyl letters at your nearest hardware store. You can spell out anything you's like then! "UER 4 LYFE" "URBEX OR DIE" "TRESPASSING IS COOL" "BILPH IT ALL" "SEPH LAWLESS LIKES BALLS" edit: Or you can make your own, i guess. I forgot you mentioned that.

Damn. That's super disappointing. I was hoping to scoop up another little flashlight since the sticker peeled off of mine! Oh well.

Yeah sorry, all of my stock of flashlights had dead batteries and I was tired of having to replace the batteries in each one before mailing them out. Also, the cost of postage went up drastically -- when I started doing this, shipping was like a buck, now it's almost $3, which isn't really worth it for a $5 light. Also I don't really have the time anymore to stuff flashlights into envelopes and mail them. I had to stick like 7 stamps on each envelope, which means I was constantly buying new stamps too. Maybe one day there will be a fire sale of the last stock, but not for now.

I saw a recent phantom tag not that long ago that was next to an old phantom one.. so he is still around ;)

Most people don't understand how much work running your own business is. Shipping and inventory control is time consuming especially if you do it yourself. I always found both to be tedious. Lost time to returns as well. It quickly turns it into a favor rather than a business. Av, I'm surprised you did it for as long as you did when I know you have other things you rather be doing

Doesn't surprise me. He obviously takes great delight in doing it. I think he misses the adrenaline rush of Nam... I talk with him once a the steam plant at Pennhurst. He's not a half baked; he's well prepared and resourceful. Strange.

I don't know if it's just me, but I have actually come to like the idea that there are taggers who are so productive that they become known outside their own hobby--I have been watching lots of Baltimore videos lately from a certain youtuber and this guy Angry Kevin is everywhere in that city https://www.reddit...mabyx/angry_kevin/
"See you guys, you never listen to me. I said there was gonna be trouble but you didn't listen to me. You guys are crazy. You know, you guys are self destructive. There's a funny farm and it has your names written all over it. But I'm gettin' out of here. I'm... I smell ice cream!" |

It would reflect badly on UER if people are slapping UER stickers around places like a jackass.

I'll have to let Therrin know his UER shirt hanging in the closet is now a hot commodity :p If people want the store back so bad and AV has no time, maybe a dedicated member could offer to run it? As far as stickers go, I think that's a terrible idea for obvious reasons. However, there is a group of mine explorers in SoCal who leaves behind cards. They're the size of playing cards and have the group's logo on the front and a photo on the back. I've always thought that was a really cool idea. They don't do it just anywhere though. They put them in very difficult places to get to (i.e. 500 ft down inside a mine that you need to rappel a series of winzes to get to).
