And the whole town came out to watch it burn to the ground. I know that I've been absent for far too long but this was important so I needed to surface once again and call attention to this thing. One Hell of a beautiful building that this town was built around and so much history now lost. In the attic we found large books, hand written ledgers, accounting records going back to 1910 and before. The penmanship in those ledgers was impeccable, people now just don't write like that today. Employee files, company records, even blueprints for various models of cotton gins produced over the years were recorded there. A very early and rare type of oil engine used to power the mill machinery was there to photograph. To damn many hornet nests in that tower, I had to stay so perfectly still while they landed on my face just to get that last shot over the roof tops. Prattville Mill will be missed.

Nice shots, bud. That mill was pretty beautiful. Definitely blows it caught aflame.
