Hey all! The ice has finally thawed, and the spring semester is finally winding down, so I thought I'd make a post. Here's my latest find, a chemical factory near Milwaukee. The yellow tint is due to the fact that everything is covered in a layer of nice yellow, toxic, dust. If you happen to know where this is, I'd appreciate if you didn't say where it is. I'd rather this place not turn into Solvay Coke .

Wow, righteous pictures. #3 and #4 are killer. Wonder what that dust really is. I also hope you used protection ;)

Cool find. I love #5. What equipment did you use in that place? I can feel my lungs burning just looking at it.

Thanks for the compliments guys! And I just used a P100 particle filter. It's not volatile or anything, so no risk of fumes. But it did get over everything and stained my shoes a nice dark yellow. I'd say what it is, but that would make it pretty obvious which place it is :p. I will say, my friend may or may not have gotten a small amount in his mouth while adjusting his filter. He said it tasted both metallic and salty. This should be enough for you to find it, if you're good with chemistry ;) .

Stellar work. I had no idea there were new abandoned sites opening up in Wisconsin.
