What an adventure. This explore had great views from every building. We ran into a local who said that some "Meth Heads" burnt some stuff causing the parks and rangers to place signs deterring meth heads. After clearing the top we ran into local UER member Void Diver and another adventure buddy. Enjoy....

Went to day camp here and an overnight. Visited a few years ago. Look like it has changed a bit.

I believe we took a path here that takes longer/ is less popular, but I'm not too upset since we stumbled on this beauty:

Very cool! Would you be willing to trade spots? I'd love to look around this place. PM me if so!

Black mold has kinda taken over. Our first explore of the day was a bust so this was a nice and easy second choice!

Haven't heard anything about police but I did hear about the vandalism to cars. I ran into no trouble; only other people spotted were filming a skate video on the road before getting to the start point.

the olympia wasn't always like that. somebody sadly chose to destroy it someday after 2.20.17
these are the two shots of it I took on 35mm color film.

salad: It did not deserve that fate at all and while I don't normally change anything I did put the parts back together a bit for my shot.

Bear: I was there shortly after that for this set and it was in sad shape; as I say above I did stage it to look slightly more put together. Destroying things bugs the crap out of me; explore, take pictures, have fun but I'm not into vandalism, tagging or destroying extant objects! Those are the things we historians drool over! I also love that you shot these on film. Using film again is one of my goals for this year 😀

Yeah I fucking hate it when people do that. Because then they end up being something that is gross more than a place that engages me and activates curiosity. For instance, warehouse 6. The piano, original rope swing, and some of the wooden skate ramps are all destroyed. Those could have been enjoyed by others. But some retarded assholes chose to come and break them.

I have one friend who does stickers and I understand why he does it and the appeal, but that is just not for me. Also he does urban areas anyways so it wouldn't apply to this location by far.

Yeah I actually didn't even intentionally pick up film but you should too, it is awesome! I started in b&W and developing on my own with a mentor and it is very challenging and expensive. One day at the Treasure island flea market I bought a 35mm color film camera from a very nice Afghan for only $20. It works amazingly and the film for 35mm color is half the price of b&w. You should definitely pick up 35mm and pm me if you need any more advice around that(camera, film, developing lab, etc.)

EDIT:
on another note, below is a link to a thread with more images from this location from multiple members.

Objects make a space more real in a sense. They often help me with guessing what the spaces were and that's probably my favorite part of the whole process. I enjoy the detective work of finding a place and backtracking to identify the history but being able to identify what happened in the space (or was brought later) is the BEST!

I would be so interested in hearing more about film. On one of the other threads I posted a pic from the dark room of a place. It was one of the best finds I've ever had!

I probably would've done the same. Hell I'd probably bring it back into the building and try to put it back where it came from. I hate seeing typewriters all smashed up.

A lot to see here! I explored the area with some friends a few weeks ago, and spent the better half of the afternoon covering everything. Even though it's a well known spot by vandals, I always enjoy a nice find in nature.

Unfortunately I came back to my car to see that someone cracked my windshield and ripped off my wipers. The sheriff said she had never seen anything happen like it in the area.
