House with the dolls

I'm not sure if this has been posted before. This is an old abandoned farm house in central Oregon. It's well known around here for the ceiling fan that's always running (nothing else works), and the dolls throughout the whole house.
There were dolls in every room. I didn't arrange them, but I'm assuming the last explorers did because there were a bunch in circles/creepily arranged.
Also I'm not a photographer so these are bad quality off my phone at night

Wait, there is a CEILING FAN always running? And nothing else works? Sounds creepy.

You're not weird if you're not normal.

Central Willamette, you mean...

The oven light used to work. Looks like the bee hives are back, too.

Cool, the first place I was ever taken exploring still had the power on and it always confuses me when this happens. Maybe if someone is paying the bill / needs electricity it's worth sending someone out to shut it off as coercion to pay, but if there's no one there I'm thinking they don't bother sending anyone cause it's not worth the call out?

What's that wire or string on the door knob?
Be very careful anytime there's electricity where there shouldn't be.
That place is creepy. Nice find

The meter socket may have been shunted by squatters; free juice for the farm house of the dolls.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

It was yarn that was all through the house. I'm not sure what the purpose was. At first I thought it was some kind of booby trap haha.
I had some other photos showing it through the whole house but they ended up being too blurry.

People will sometimes use wire or string attached to cans or such to make crude alarms. At one point a squatter was probably living there.

Yes I see it's Central Willamette, I thought that Salem/Eugene/etc area was Central Oregon. Apparently that's Bend and that area?

I didn't know the oven light worked. They are gone again now.

That's what I was wondering. It was intertwined around door knobs so it would pull if anyone opened a door.

My grandfather used to do that with fishing line when we would go camping, make a large base around with a couple bells so you could hear if a person/bear/whatever was coming.

Be alert any time you see that sort of thing. Meth labs and pot farms are notorious for setting alarms and sometimes booby traps.
Being observant is good habit to get into. Watch where you're stepping before you step there. Falls from holes and collapsing structures is your biggest risk however.

That's one thing I really fear when off-trail hiking as well, but I'm much less worried since we legalized it!

The dolls are gone; the old wheels that flanked the driveway are gone (or so I have been told).
