North Area

Hello! This is my first post, and probably of a pretty recognized area. It's one of my favorite to travel to. These are actually a combination of a couple different trips I took up there. Pretty new (within the past couple months) to the whole urban exploration idea - a few friends actually turned me on to the idea and I've been on the search for more places to check out - so I expect plenty more pictures to come.

~These are taken on a phone camera, so excuse the non-professionalism of the pictures~

Lovely pictures! I really like the prisoners in that one picture. Welcome to the forums. =)

Great photos! I have always had an appreciation for good graffiti. not just tagging but actual art. Those prisoners are amazing and some of the tags are really well done also. Nice find!

Never waste a day.

I love this place, one of my favorite spots. Though I haven't done it yet, at some point I'd like to have a picnic up there and hang out for a while. Last summer at the end of our meetup, several of us went down and swam for a bit in the lake.

Thanks for sharing, and good first post!

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire... Tunnelrunner33!

It's definitely one of my favorites as well!

I've never ran into anyone else out there, but I had some friends who went last weekend and a ranger was there.

Actually thinking about heading out there again this weekend since the weather should be nice. I also recently found out there is more in that area to explore so hoping to make a decent day trip out of it.

And thank you.

The view from the top is definitely beautiful! We took a swim when we were there haha but that was in August. Awesome pics! Cool to see some new graffiti there too

There are buildings elsewhere in that area that parts of an old damn or something but TunnelRunner33 knows more about that than me, he has actually been.

That's what I've heard! And plan on exploring more tomorrow.

I've been camping at the lake but never made it up there, sometime once I get a new car I will have to check it out. I like that you got some of the tags, most casual taggers don't make the effort to go out to places like this so you're left with some nice art. The moss growing over everything makes it look like ancient ruins
