I sadly don't have Instagram. I went back a few months after finding that map and it was gone. I'm sure someone out there knows what this is. especially since that map leads to a true urbex gold mine!!

Its most certainly a joke. Also, "DigitalDirtbag" is a member here. You could ask him what the deal is.

Honestly.. I think it would be fun to have a UER challenge.. before you say corny.. Why not like an actual scavenger hunt of the sort. I mean many of the places I go already have the quintessential www.uer.ca...eat a bag of dicks written on the wall and or a giant penis next to UER so why not have something like this and a thread to put it. Or a code or something. I don't know it's early for me. Just a thought.
Closer than you think~ When you dig up the past, you tend to get dirty. http://www.flickr.com/photos/rebeldead/ |

Well I messaged this "DigitalDirtbag" to see if he can assist. I sure hope he can help. if anyone has any other info on the Lyman School for Boys, do share!

Those buildings aren't identical, and the tunnels dead end.

This kind of reminds me of, Geocaching meets Urbex. I always thought they would make a nice pair, I have to say. I don't know much about geocaching though.

Check out my other post about the boy scout camp. I actually designed a geocache around 5 abandoned buildings in the woods!

How long ago may I ask? Cuz I only ever gained access to one of them. The other was always sealed tight. And where are those 'dead end' tunnels??

Maybe 5ish years ago they were both readily doable, and probably more recently than that. The dead end tunnels lead from the one higher up, not the one down in the woods. They/it went under a couple other buildings but provided no access to anything.

I never made it passed the Fire Breathing Dragon.

I might be cool, but I'm far from a fan. |

Went to Lyman's a few months ago and saw the same message in sharpie, made me chuckle. The hand drawn map wasn't there on my most recent visit, but even still I could immediately tell someone was just having fun trolling people. Tunnels under Lyman's is news to me, though not very surprising considering how large it must have been. The tunnels under the hospital are pretty extensive, and there are some passages that are still cinderblocked up, but I really doubt there is a tunnel from the hospital grounds to Lyman's, it would have to be at least a mile long, probably more. https://flic.kr/p/FnYDTq Urbex challenge https://flic.kr/p/FKN8o1 Here's a shot of the tunnels under the hospital. I want to go back to Lyman's again now.
