Nice work! What kind of new camera did you get? I've really enjoyed this entire thread - great photos from everyone. The before photos are really cool to compare to. I didn't get to see this location until 2009 or 2010. This place has been sort of an annual pilgrimage for me. Every year I come out here for our family thanksgiving, and despite exploring here every year since 2010, there's so much of it I haven't seen. I'll be posting photos once I'm home (I'm on my mobile now) Just FYI for those of y'all that have any sentimental ties to this place... It's coming down faster and faster. This is the first year that's gone by where I've noticed entire blocks flattened as well as entire new blocks to be explored. I'm glad to see some of the more historic elements hopefully being spared and refurbished though - like the Church on Chapel Hill and hopefully the main pool area and church there too. I'm not sure what the plans are, but the latter two structures have been re-roofed and re-fortified all along the outside. The new residences are now encroaching all along the northern side of the barracks from the East Garrison to PCH. Almost all of the remaining structures in the East Garrison are tagged for demo currently. They've brought down entire blocks of CSU as well. Point is, if you want to see some of the more popular spots, you'd better hurry! It's too late for some of them already.

Thank you!! Means a lot coming from you. It's a Pentax P30T. Just a standard lil' film point & shoot, but I love the warmness & graininess. I've noticed a huge difference in the past 6 months. I can only imagine what it will be like in another 6.

Here are photos, as promised, ranging from 2010 to November 2016. Most of these are from 2015 and 2016, but the first and last photos are a bit older. I've enjoyed this thread greatly and wanted to be sure to contribute - I've got a ton of photos from this location, but these are some of the ones that stood out as I was browsing through my Flickr. Enjoy!

Haha, that is actually unedited. I was goofing off with a cool feature that is on the Canon G-11 powershot camera called, "color swap." You can take any color in live view and swap it out with another color of your choice. It's also in live view so you can see what it'll look like. I probably pulled the pink off of a nearby tag.

Wow this thread is a treasure trove! Great pictures! Maybe someday I can go explore out west!
