Hamilton UE

I was a bit surprised to see that Hamilton didn't have its own dedicated UE thread. However, I decided to start the very first one for Hamilton UE. Whether you post pictures of old or new UE material from Hamilton, this is the thread for it. Let's see if we can make this thread one of the better ones. Welcome to all! Here's a pic to start it all off.

There used to be lots of members here from Hamilton, not many left though I don't think. Looking forward to seeing more content from here though, great idea!

^^^Don't underestimate the power of the Schwartz!=)

If Hamilton exploring still exists, maybe it be good to make some kind of meetup when it gets a bit warmer...

Hamilton is a pretty cool place, but my knowledge currently is lacking. Real life sucks the fun out of a lot of things including your spare time.

Yes, yes it does. I work a lot, haven't had much time to explore these days.

this is the only "exploring" I've done in the Hammer in the past few years. if you know where I took this from, go check it out. its pretty easy. just don't do it during the day, obviously.

sorry for the shitty quality. took them with my phone, didn't have a proper camera on me.

Has anyone tried this?

i would redo it with proper understanding of techniques involved and a proper rope without a knot in the middle. It wasn't as great and many other climbers that day were worried.

I've been gone for years, Hamilton was great to explore throughout my youth, but I'm up Muskoka now.

A group of us have done Tews Falls above Dundas many times, but always in the summer with the water cascading down on us during the descent.

I tend to do the outskirts of Hamilton more than the city...seems the locations that look cool are overrun with crackheads etc. Like the old Westinghouse...I found an entry point but damn, so did a lot of freaks. Needles etc freak me out.

I'm in! I haven't been exploring that much lately. Been sticking to backpacking. The last place for me would have been the sanatorium and the active slater steel on Birch(oops didn't know they were still up and running, scared the crap out of one of the employees on an explore).
