So because we were in the neighborhood, my Dad decided to drive past Camp 30. It was even more graffiti-ized since we had seen it last March. If my brother and mother hadn't been in the car and if we hadn't seen a bunch of partyers I'd have suggested we'd get out and walk around. (If you want to read about my previous visit and see some photos of it click here: http://www.uer.ca/...=1&threadid=119562) I've only chosen a couple of the best photos I snapped with my phone while driving by and have either slightly/not edited photos. 1.

That'd be a really cool place to explore! Nice shots!
Over there in that pigpen, I found a couple of Shoshoni arrowheads. |

Thank you, I hope to go some day by myself and do the place justice.

I live like 15 minutes away from this. If you're ever in the area shoot me a message I know the place as well as my home

So cool. Too bad it was never preserved because of its history.

There was talks in the process but no one has ever really stepped up to the plate. There's a legal trail being placed around the buildings. Of course the buildings are still off limits.

It was 'preserved' for years by a society that was mostly decent, respectful intelligent, & with better things to do than buy spray-paint and write/draw their bullshit 'art' on property that didn't belong to them.

There are no stupid questions, just stupid people. |

I went the other day to check it out. I was worried that pretty soon it will be locked down more. But this place was really busy. I counted 15 cars of people 'exploring' at the same time as me. I say that in quotes because there were full families of 6, an elderly couple, and even a guy walking a dog though the actual buildings. By the time we left there were kids playing with pellet guns in the kitchen building. We got there around 10AM and just as we were leaving a cop showed up and started telling people to leave. It was a fun relaxing explore but nothing much to see and the crowds there were not something I was used to during an outing haha.

Looks like a really cool place

Note: This week it was heavily boarded up and the dirt and boulders blocking doors, were moved. Probably to help with the new camp 30 trail

I did see the boulders, particularly making it hard to enter the pool/gym building, but when I was there every building was accessible to some compacity.
