I found this quaint little ranch just five minutes from my house. I was tooling around on the ol' Google Earth, spying on my neighbors when I found this desiccated thing. I still thought my mind was playing tricks on me, since I've literally scoured my entire county looking for cool shit to invade and take shitty pictures of. Naturally, I acted on impulse and went there right after work without my DSLR rig and comically large tripod/teepee frame. Normally I wouldn't bore you all with another thread full of blurry cell phone pics of a derelict, empty farmhouse. This place was different. In an area that is frequented by dirt bikers and assorted other bored redneck types or vandals, this place was still up and going. It was so old that you could see where they retrofitted electricity into it. The place was so old that there was no paint left, save for the inside where traces of vivid blue or red would show though. Sadly, more than half of the buildings were collapsed, complete with their original wood shingle roofing hanging on. Going back through the aerial photo archives showed that there was once a decent barn on site, as well as two other ranch houses that have since caved in. All in all, it was a well built little place that has proven what good craftsmanship can accomplish. It'll be sad when it finally goes away. TL;DR: Found old ranch by my house and took shitty pictures of it. 1.
