Any new news on this building in the past couple weeks? have they gotten on the road to demolition?

Drove past this place yesterday on my way back from another spot. There were some work trucks in the big lot but nothing looks to have started demo wise. Did spot multiple security guards on foot and one in a car.

Update for the curious:

The building is coming down. The back lot is covered in metal scrap, there's new holes in the side of the building, and there are active workers and police even on a Sunday.

I never thought I'd ever be happy with a building coming down..but I'm happy in this case.

Hello. Just visited this weekend and I bring updates and bad quality pictures. Firstly, some updates. The lot is filled with metal and they have begun moving the fire extinguishers and other valuable items out of the building. The inside is still filled to the brim with scrap, trash, and other items. It is definitely not cleaned up and it still looks like how it used to. It does seem as though the homeless have mostly vacated however there are some still there. We noticed a few homes and they seemed very recent (< day old food and drinks). There was also other people there with us. Not sure if they were the owners of the homes or taggers. We never actually got a look at them however they were there (we heard them quite a few times above us and out of sight). We did NOT see any police and the construction workers were NOT there. Overall very creeper explore. It contrasted heavily to how the place was when I last went. Almost felt like walking into Moria from LOTR hahahaha. Anyway heres some bad pics. (sorry for the stupid snapchat stuff).1.

Such a random reason to come out of retirement & to bump a 7-year old thread, but on the current season of True Detective there is a scene where a character finds a lit christmas tree in an abandoned structure. I wasn’t sure why at first, but it felt like I was unlocking a memory that I buried.

I remember on maybe my 2nd-3rd time going into this dark labyrinth, seeing something glowing far off in one of the bigger rooms. When I made my way over there, it was a christmas tree.. but there was someone dancing around the yellow glow in absolute silence. It was maybe the most uncanny things I ever stumbled upon while exploring the bay.

I hope no one ever actually got hurt at this evil place 😅
