We visited this massive abandoned building twice. The first time was way too day so we came back the following morning with higher lumens count so we could properly see. You could hear everything it was so quiet. This place was a complete accidental find. My girlfriend spotted this so we pulled over and wa-lahhhh lol. We're new to this whole urbex community

Warning: don't get stuck on the roof. The door locks when shut! According to B&C. And if you should walk the escalators in the dark, some of the landings are open pits. Got away without major injury after finding some holes.

Oh yeah, it's going to all be torn down and developed into Condominiums.

Codestuh, that's an Okword question! Or maybe it's an answer. Yah it is.

Hi and no it's not in San Jose. That's the fun about urban exploring. My girlfriend found this spot as we were driving to another spot. There are some solid clues that will give it's location away.

Thank you for the warning. We didn't get that high up. We explored the first floor and it was only my lady and I so we didn't hit the second floor. Getting stuck on the roof would not be winning lol. To bad they are going to level this building. Sure was a good explore

Where did you hear that it would be turned into condominiums? I also stumbled upon this building several months ago. I am so glad I didn't close the door on the roof! Did it happen to you? I can't imagine how devastating that moment would be...

Any photos to add? Also I would have felt ultra devastated knowing my lady and I are stuck on a rooftop in #@$!+;" lol

Hi everyone. We have had some messages wondering if this building is safe, still accessable and active. We visited this building today and here are the revisit photos. We started by exploring the exterior then making our way to the parking structure and then finally inside. Also we included a photo of an ACTIVE security camera. A COUPLE SQUATS ON THE TOP FLOOR AND THEY WERE COOL BUT WONDER AROUND IN THE DARKNESS!!

Alright guys, went there last week & have some news for anyone planning on making a trip. We had a smooth time until we got to the top floor, where we saw 3 people walking around on the other side of the room. It looked like they were all wearing the same outfits & we could hear radios going off. We decided it was time to leave & sure enough as we drove away we saw 3 firetrucks parked outside one of the entrances. I was informed by a friend on here that the fire department is now doing routine fire drills inside this building. I do recommend checking this place out but stay on guard. Flashlights are very necessary, 99% of this building is a dark labyrinth.

Explored the Needle in a Haystack this evening with a friend. After we decide to cross the street and check this place out. We found the POE relatively easy but my friend didn't feel like going in so I decided to go in by myself and check the first few rooms or a few minutes. Got a little carried away and explored most if the first floor. The place was pretty janky tbh there was a room with all the IDs of the former employees scattered on the floor so that was pretty cool. But then I got slightly lost, and came across a conference room. Since I think conference rooms look cool I wanted to check it out but there was a homeless guy who was on some good shit barricaded in there who started yelling at me so I left. He chased me for a little but he was too far behind and lost interest. If you explore this place..go in a group. I made the rookie mistake of going alone..(but again I am still a rookie anyway ) but be prepared for some crazy people if you do decide to explore. It's pretty shady and pretty janky. I'll probably do a more thorough explore in the future with a group of athletic guys and some brightass flashlights LOL Maybe I'm being too much a chicken but better safe than sorry.

Does anyone know if this building has dangerous levels of asbestos? I'm trying to find information as to when this building was built. It smells funky, but that doesn't mean asbestos.

Just went by this place. The place is all fenced off and the original POE is all boarded up, so my friend and I had to find another one. We eventually did It looks like they're prepping the place for demolition. Don't have any photos to show. But there was a homeless person and a few scrappers. One of the scrappers confirmed my suspicions that it will get demolished soon-he also said that there were a number of workers in the building the other day. I don't think this will be here much longer to be honest, go to it while you still can! Haha But I wouldn't make a huge trip to get to it. It's more a place to visit if you're in the Haystack/Unity/Freedom area. Glad I got to see it while it was still there-there was some pretty cool graffiti. There was some shit graffiti too, but it was a good trip.
