Roadside Hotel

These were taken on the 30th of December on my way back from another site in the area.

Parked right by the side of the location. There were a couple people with smartphones taking shots nearby, so I walked around getting some exteriors until they left. Explored the buildings on one side, then doubled back to get the buildings down the hill.

Everything here is in terrible shape. Vandalism and graffiti are rampant and people clearly come here regularly to hang out, trash the place, and generally make it into a giant dump. There's some cool stuff here like the honeymoon suites that would look even better if they weren't so messed up.

Wrecked locations still have a story and think this place is fantastic. Nice shots!

Honestly, the vandalism and graffiti just adds another layer to the story. I prefer natural decay and overgrowth, but if it makes for a good photo and an interesting story that's what matter most to me.

It's really nice up by the waterfall upstream from the main buildings (didn't get a whole lot of shots of the falls and they weren't very good, which is why I didn't post any) and the old picnic pavilion.

Seems like an interesting place to get shots of in the late spring or early summer, although I'm sure there's a lot of increased traffic when it's nice out.

Took the words right outta' my mouth! #20, "Catnap", gets his tags around some. His were all over an abandoned industrial park in PA too.

#18 and #22 are my favorites - always a sucker for that wide angle effect (and maybe ugly carpets)

I was happy with how #22 came out - it must be an amazing sight when the leaves start to come back in the spring and summer because that central courtyard is completely overgrown.

Of course, nicer weather means more likely to run into teenagers out drinking and what-not, but that's not so bad. Those that trespass together... leave each other the hell alone.

Chillin'. You pulled out some good shots of this place. I've been here a few times, and I've never liked it. And I never know why I keep going back. Weird. I'll throw up some of my shots here in a bit.

Thanks. It wasn't too bad, I thought. Had a couple interesting places although I can see how it might get a little repetitive if you go back multiple times.

Haha. I guess. I didn't even like it the first time I went. And it wasn't even that wrecked yet.

It's nice to run around, but aesthetically its fucked.
I really enjoy the waterfall in the back tho, it's usually where I head to when I go here lol

Yeah, I do try to avoid that - I know the name is in a couple of the photos, but this place is right there on the side of the road (also ridiculously easy to find on Google - I actually found it by accident while looking for another nearby place that my dad had told me about), so I figure that's not too bad for this particular location.

EDIT: I posted pictures of the signs because they were interesting shots, not as a name drop - if that's the impression I gave off, then I apologize.
