There is quite a few of these in the deep south. Not all of them are this interesting though. Unfortunately a bit of tagging, but it could have been worse. 1. I thought it a bit amusing also, I wish josh (see pic 6) would use his literate skills in other occupations than tagging though...

This place really reminded me of the first abandonment I explored when I was 11 or 12.It also had the same “A little old lady used to live here” quality to it. 1.

Loving the Ivy shots! Just something cool about ivy growing on an old homestead in the South...Right up there with moss hanging in trees as a fave of mine. Interior shots are really great as well.

Places like this always make me wonder - what's the story behind the location? What caused people to just get up and leave? Awesome pics

So much cool stuff in that house. I am into unintentionally creepy Santas. I want to learn how to crochet so I can make a grandma's house afghan.

My guess is the occupant died and no one did anything with the place afterward.

Ha, not that I saw though I didn't look to hard. I did have a peek inside the bank deposit bag but it was empty. Someone had definitely done some rummaging before us. There's plenty of money here with all the items and furniture left, there was a nice BB gun upstairs that could work with a little fixing up.
