Better than the real police busting us at locations while we actually explore real things and not just the internet. Stay asleep.

Don't listen to Gunner Trees. He will destroy your phone with a banana.

I want to be different. But I want to be different just like everybody else, because if I really were different, everybody would think I was crazy and weird.

But also, I mean, everyone, chillax.

[23:38:31] <metawaffle> I'm surprised the NE forum doesn't fall off UER from the weight of thread locks

Don't mind Jim, I bet he would be really upset if I started posting his banana phone threads here too.

Calm down Jim this is not about you.

I'm sure people are going to be beating down your door to share locations with you now.

They never have and they never will.

Do you know what UER members have in common with the ISIS, Orthodox Jews, Mormons, and the Latin Kings? They all have the "them and us" mentality.

The key word here is outsiders. Now should any of us try to be part of any "them and us" mentality? I prefer to lead by example.

I've been a victim of "them and us" relationships my whole life. Stuff like snitching, paying back the money you owe, giving the disadvantage of the doubt, etc., are all included.

President Obama recently made an announcement that he didn't like the way the media portrays police-related shootings (particularly White cops shooting Blacks) simply for portraying the "them and us" mentality.

This post violates rule # 1 of the forum rules: http://www.uer.ca/...1&fid=1&currpage=1

Please delete.

An honest person, now.

If you saw from my thread, people there don't give out locations because it's against the rules. They don't do it because they don't want to. To me it seems examples of the "them and us" mentality.

Comments about Obama, ISIS, and Jews....

Hmmm.... What, no comparisons to nazis?

Hahaha, that's okay. This is brilliant writing anyways.

Hurray!!! Neal finally joined the rest of us and went completely off the rails!

Gunner, get this man a banana sticker!

Hmmm.... What, no comparisons to nazis?

I didn't include Nazis as they were.. the vast majority of people taking orders without having a backbone to stand up against.

Most ISIS members are ISIS because they choose to be. And want to be. There's always going to be a % of people (such as in the Latin Kings) that will claim they couldn't get out. The vast majority of people who are Christian are Christian because they want to be, not because they're forced to be.

I didn't see why this was relevant.

A victim of us versus them mentality. Oh brother, you can hang your "victim" mentality at the door.

Every new explorer trying to join the mainstream urbex community has to grapple with an outsider point of view at some point. You think you're any different?

If you join a web forum but don't research old posts to learn ettiquette or what has come before, you're going to get trolled hard.

This isn't unique to UER. Go on car maintenance forums. Go on geek fandom forums. Go on historical preservation forums. It doesn't matter what the subject matter of the forum, new people get trolled when they post brainless posts saying/asking/doing the same idiotic things that have been posted infinite times previously. This is why FAQs exist. This is why google exists. If you can't be bothered to dig into the archived threads or do a little research, don't be surprised when the old timers tear into you.
