Saw this out in the city. Never seen a boom lift that big before. Ultimate Urbex tool.

AWESOME!!! You could almost replace climbing construction site cranes with it. (although the seeming lack of counterweights is a little worrying)

It's not your average Genie Lift. This thing is colossal. It's probably heavily ballasted behind the sheet metal and the bottom part shows the funny offset. The reach seems to be good 12 stories. The first 2-3 stories of that building has retail appearance, so the first row of windows are probably 3rd story.

Seems to me like messing with that thing could be a very bad idea. I imagine any mistakes controlling it could lead to some serious damage and an extremely high bill (if not death). But hey, knock yourself out!

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire... Tunnelrunner33!

I've driven and ran a normal-size one of those before. Just raising and lowering the platform is a pants-shitter, it wobbles around a LOT. Forget trying to move the vehicle with the platform extended. I cannot imagine how insane a 12 story one would be.

I used to go up in a 60 footer to watch fireworks. They are super shaky. Balls of steel is what you would need to take that thing up.

I was on a 20 foot scissor lift today and i still have pucker action when i have to lean over the side when i am all the way up.

It's very common over here to see similar lifts used by moving companies to get furniture into or out of apartments. I've seen them operating on the higher floors of 20-storey buildings. Here's one example on a building that was around 15 storeys. Yes, sometimes the workers ride them.

I've used the 60' ones in my old job before and it had one hell of a pucker factor, there's no way I'd get in that thing!

I do recall many "South Korea move" videos featuring this. Your picture looks like it's resting up against the side of building for support.

I've been up in one around 140 feet at work. I'm not usually scared of heights but the breeze, or sudden movements will rock it back and forth a bit and its pretty unnerving.
