This place has been done to death but here's my take on it. It's your typical completely trashed abandonment with unimaginative graffiti, but it did have some cool places where nature was invading.

Nice pics. Love the old organ and the vines coming in across the floor.

It looks a lot different in the winter. Hahaha. We went when everything was super green!

Cool place. Is this in Houston?

I begged him not to go there... and now Peptic Ulcer is one of them. Cool shots.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

No, an hour or two away, I believe. (From me, that is...and I'm an hour from you. Hahaha.)

I've had my eye on this one off and on for a while now. Once I get some, er, unpleasant explore-related issue taken care of, I think I'll make the trip! Cool shots, BTW! This reminds me of another east Texas hospital kind of randomly placed in the middle of (almost) nowhere that I recently explored. Especially the room with the ivy and floor-to-ceiling Windows. This place I went to had a courtyard along the outside, which made for great light painting. I am particularly fond of the organ! That was definitely missing from the other one!
EDIT: I decided one post was more efficient than two fairly similar posts.

Ouch, I hate when that happens I guess batting the baby blues didn't allay their concerns... the bastards.

this is far and away the most boring place in texas. fucking sucks. | Meh. One man's Zombie Hospital is another man's Kirkbride. Nice work, Peptic.
Everyone has secrets. It's just a matter of finding out what they are. |

I love the way that building looks. Solid plain concrete, looks very fortress-like.

Bad news, folks. The zombie hospital is gone. I drove out there only to find, well, nothing. So, unless I got the location wrong, and that isn't very likely, it is gone. EDIT: I'll see if I took any photos. I always forget to photograph the freshly razed ones. Perhaps my heartbreaking disappointment overwhelms my need to snap a photo of its memorial.

Sad that another site has disappeared but honestly no great loss in my opinion. As far as explores go it was, meh... Sorry you drove all that way and didn't get to see it. There's a lot of other things in that area so hopefully the trip wasn't a total waste.
