Absolutely the type of home I aspire to live in one day (Minus the vandalism and grafitti, obviously). Phrenzee (I think?) has photos of this place pre-vandalism... If I'm lucky he'll share them here. If anyone else has any photos of this house to share I'd love to see them, it's quickly become my favorite local abandonment! 1.

Skye, That country lane, and that old home with the neat stonework just sitting there. What a pretty scene. Really like pic 8 where you can see the old molding around the top of the room. Interesting what colors were also used on those walls in past years...Red and Blue.

It is weird that the stairs arc around at that spot rather than there being a landing. Neat architecture.

That first image would make for a nice print

... Holy hell. I had no idea you had been here!! I'm glad to finally see how the railing system worked, I was really confused by it. Such an absolute shame, the house used to be beautiful. But those photos are a good reminder of what it could look like if someone decided to fix it up. Stone House by Cory Battler, on Flickr

Such a shame, what a beautiful place. Love stone homes. I will never understand what vandals and taggers get out of their bullshit antics... This is the sort of place I'd love to fix up if I had any spare money LOL.

You don't happen to have a better picture of that crown moulding at the top of #8, do you? That looks wicked.

I don't, unfortunately! But it looked like a plaster mold type set up. Chunks of it were missing. I don't know why I don't have more photos of it - I was fascinated!

Nice set Skye. Good to see you're still out there.

Wow - I wish I had know about this place prior to it's destruction by fire. I discovered and visited it this fall, and used it as an interesting background for a photoshoot. There really isn't much left of it at this point, but a stone shell. There are no floors left in the structure. A long wooden shed remains, strewn with garbage, and there is very little left of what I understand was a dairy farm, than twisted metal and decayed wood. The silo still stands. As interest to anyone who plans to visit this location, we spent most of the day there shooting, and were interrupted several times by neighboring farmers and their equipment. I spoke politely to a woman who arrived early in the day with a load of hay to feed the cows on her neighboring farm. I asked if it was ok to take pictures, and she replied that it was not her property, but that they just came in here to feed their stock. She didn't mind my being there, and cautioned me to be careful as she didn't think there was any floor left. Later in the day, another HUGE combine came rumbling down that long driveway. Note of caution - you are trapped in there if one of those things is blocking your way! Again, I spoke with the driver who was from the farm on the other side of the property. They were working their fields that day, and using the driveway as a place to turn their machines around. He didn't mind at all that we were there. 1.

what a pity to see that it has been reduced to charred rubble
