Anyone else been in here since they closed? The lights were so tempting.

Nice set. How cool is that? Abandoned with all the lights on. Ghost park.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

It's not abandoned, just closed for the season. I've heard they keep the lights on until Christmas. The wheel and tower are visible from a lot of Denver, especially in the Highlands. Thanks everyone

I love seeing places that are usually packed all dead and quiet, like this. Dead malls, too, but amusements parks are just really cool.

Went and checked out Lakeside the other night. Pretty fascinating place. The Speedway is particularly interesting, it's been abandoned since 1988 with a bit of a dark history. Also people seem to think this particular park is the inspiration for Lakeside Park in the Silent Hill games. More on the speedway: http://www.denverpost.com/ci_18359176

We just went straight up the coaster. Sketchy as fuck and the snow didn't help. I'm kind of amazed that people ride that thing tbh, it didn't seem to be in the best shape. There was standing water on the tracks in a low part.

There are a handful of cool old cars and trucks left at the racetrack as well. And this sign we found stashed in a corner
