This school sits in the center of what once was the thriving community of Pear Valley, Texas. Today the place is essentially a ghost town of 20 or so residents. Built in 1935 and closed for as long as any of the residents remember, this building now sits baking in the hot Texas sun. During its operation, the school had 6 classrooms, 3 on each side, with a general assembly/gym area in the middle. Mesquite now grows where children once played. 1.
