I've passed this place dozens of times and never had time to explore it. Today, I still didnt have time but I said screw it and went anyway! According to a neighbor, this place has been under construction off and on for over 4 years. The first thing to go up were the slides then the buildings. The last 18 months they have been working here and there on the buildings but the REAL hangup on the opening to this point is.....wait for it....they cant get water! People have been coming in and stealing things which has also been hampering the construction efforts. More images here: https://www.flickr.../72157659950912985 Hope you enjoy the set! 1.

That looks like a pretty cool place. Not Hurricane Harbor, but could be a cool place. Maybe they should've done some water tables research before diving right in, so to speak.

That's the head scratcher here. There is a trailer park no more than 1/4 of a mile from this place that was just recently built (for the park workers when it opens) and they have a good sized water tank! I have no idea if this is a permitting issue, a financial problem or what but the neighbor said, "They can't get any water". This was an opportunity explore (as most of mine are) so I haven't really dug into the site too much. Anyone who wants to research this PM me for some details.

Nice Peptic Ulcer! That's a strange site. Obviously I took the wrong route in/out of Louisiana when I was just there... hell all I could find there was water. So glad to be dry again.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |
