House With No Name [Pic Heavy]

Watching the clouds of kicked up dust in the rear view mirror and listening to the familiar pinging of ricocheting rocks Storytrail and I found ourselves in the middle of one of our scouting "dates". Combing the countryside, I caught the distance glimpse of a collapsing porch. Set back from the road along a beautiful tree lined driveway we soon found ourselves amazed at the farm house well camouflaged by the overgrowth.

Despite it's outwards appearance, there was little to go on in terms of personal objects, but the interiors alone spoke volumes. A century home with a stone built barn, you can almost imagine the tireless work of the farmer who once lived here and the home cooked meals coming from the kitchen. I hope you enjoy a slice of country comfort.

Beautiful, love those white brick accents on the exterior walls, the ornate wood embellishments on the front porch. Nice wall sconce. Glad the site seems undesecrated. In pic 5 there is a wall shelf built into what appears to be a door frame. I wonder, was it actually built for that purpose or modified later on?

Are the last 2 pix of stone barn interior or cellar of house?

Thank you lookintoit, despite our shots there are a few rooms with big black womb brooms spray painted on the walls. Despite that the house is rather peaceful and beautiful. As for the bookshelf, behind the wall is the kitchen and the yellow cupboards though it may have been a doorway at one time. As for the last two they were shot inside the barn.

Great galleries guys! Wow this week's been a blast from the past...I visited this house back a few years ago. It's decayed so much since then. I'll post a gallery tomorrow! I got a good chuckle out of the "art" in this place lol...

2013 Winter visit by F.O.S.

Hey guys, here are some pics from my visit. I haven't been back since because I know someone else who visited and was caught by the farmer who owns the land.

I bet it was that Bryan guy and the farmer probably would have let him go but I'm sure he tried to blow him. You know Bryan he just can't help himself when coxs are around....

I think this is highly plausible.

Loved all of these pics everyone! The lighting fixtures, switches and fence outside grabbed my attention, as well as the exterior shots in the snow. Its a shame how well preserved it appears from the outside. The inside is really rough.

This seems like such a great place! I absolutely love the pictures of the lighting fixtures, especially number 7 from the original set.

I'm usually not a huge fan of all the houses that pop up on the Ontario board, but this one has some delicious decay. Nice shots.

Awesome place... if you had skipped the exterior shots, there would hardly be any way of knowing the first two sets and FOS' set was from the same spot.

FOS - What a coincidence; it's the Christmas Vacation cat pic again, just in time for the holiday season (well, for me, anyway)
