Cool stuff, thanks for sharing! Rooftopping in SF is hard! A few years ago I tried every damn hotel highrise in downtown (there are a lot!) and every single one was a flop.

Thanks! I walked around SF the whole day & yeah it was tough just getting through the lobby... I visited at least 8 hotels & lucked out on just 2(1 took sneaking around @ night past workers who were cleaning the floor below the POE). If you'd like, PM me & we can trade names of successful hotels!

There were no successful ones on my adventures, only failures! lol It's ok though, I have no plans to return to SF.

Nice shots!

There are definitely some accessible rooftops in SF.

(Two of my shots from about two weeks ago.)

Great one too! I tried to get on top of the building next door but couldn't get to the end, I completely overlooked the one you posted. Still got a similar shot.

The door access to the rooftop was locked, and I wasn't sure if I should have tried to force it given the "alarm-activated door" warning signs (which could ambiguously mean that door triggers alarm, or that alarm triggers door, I wasn't sure) and the security cameras in the stairwell.

Yeah I went up a few rooftops that had locked and/or alarmed doors. I didn't test to see if they were really alarmed though!

I've seen both in SF. Sometimes it means that the door will open if the fire alarm is already activated, and in other cases it means that alarm will sound if you open it yourself. But the latter case usually has more explicit signs like "ALARM WILL SOUND". Ninjalicious actually emphasizes the distinction between both systems in AAA.

Damn, where were all you guys when I was visiting SF a few weeks back? Nice stuff, all of you!

Anyone ever tried using the POPOS as a starting point and climbing up from there? Figure that's gotta be possible with at least some of them, but didn't have time to see any when I was there.

I'll get back to you on that, just found a huge list of POPOS to check out next time!
