Cement plant & house

This house was practically invisible and completely grown over. I wonder what it's story is. TunnelRunner and Ganesha found a college essay, and themartianist found bank statements, from 1989 I think. It was an interesting find. The plant was also really neat. Lots of climbing, owls flying around, and a squatters home too.

1. Welcome! Come in...

2. I don't think this helped a lot.

3. Really cool graffiti.

4. Just my type.

5. No water to be found.

This time I explored the outside of the cement plant. It's surrounded by an earth dam, protected by plastic sheeting, which in turn is protected by a net and sandbags to hold it all down. It smelled evil; I passed up the lush blackberries growing here.

A boiler was located outside the building, for safety reasons I guess.

I climbed a steel ladder to a catwalk on top of it. It was spavined and full of moss, with a hole in its center. My tripod, hanging by the camera strap, had gotten tangled up in my fanny pack. How nice it would be to get to where I could straighten out my gear and take some pictures. I set one foot on the catwalk's edge, found it to be quite fragile, and carefully climbed back down.
