A lot of people thought it was funny because I was pronouncing this "Barack" the whole time. Thanks guys haha. This location was really neat. Covered in asbestos and mold. Some interesting graffiti though. I wish I had had more time to explore this location but I was conned into taking a nap in the car after being awake for 24 hours. 1. Broken Glass.

3. Like I said, interesting graffiti.

The fourth stop in the Portland-Seattle UE tour. Barrack is the singular form of barracks. A barrack is a building constructed to house a single soldier. I swear I'm not making this up! By late afternoon JennyUE had overdosed on exploring; her voice was slurred and she was having trouble standing upright. I used my parental voice, a superpower that you develop when you have kids, and sent her to bed. Barracks by , on Flickr This large, still-beautiful building is getting harder to enter. It's slated to be renovated as low-income housing.

Nice pictures, glad you got up here to visit us! Did you go in the basement at all? I found the lower floors much more interesting except this bathroom I found on the 3rd floor that was super peely https://youtu.be/zVUnE4I79Zw
"See you guys, you never listen to me. I said there was gonna be trouble but you didn't listen to me. You guys are crazy. You know, you guys are self destructive. There's a funny farm and it has your names written all over it. But I'm gettin' out of here. I'm... I smell ice cream!" | |
This place is getting harder and harder to access. I'm wondering if this most recent visit (if you can call a few months ago "recent") might be my last one. Most of the old POE's we knew of were closed up, and we wound up making a fairly risky entrance in front of a busy road in the late afternoon. Luckily we were able to obscure our entrance point once we got inside; my hope was that even if we were seen and reported, any responding investigators would be unable to find it. The place is big enough (and hazardous enough) that I felt pretty confident nobody would be coming inside and looking for us unless they had a good idea of where we entered.
If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire... Tunnelrunner33! |
