It's been now nearly 6 years that in each new exploration, i take this pose, when i find a broom or stumble upon one.
The first picture i took was really random, i found that broom on the stage and just took a shot with it. Later that month in another exploration i saw another one and decided to take the pose again… and i kept finding some after that.
At first i had some “rules” like to take the shot exactly where i was finding them, but quickly i realised that the shots were junk, so i started moving to better place in the locations to get the “perfect” and most representative picture of the location. There was also the rule of “not searching” for them, but then again it changed since it was really becoming my signature and i could not leave some of those incredible locations without my shot. So yeah, sometime i end up searching for a long time haha. One rule that i never broke is to bring one. (lots of people believe i bring them to the locations!)
I have found them in nearly half of my explorations, since i do a lot of draining it's normal i don't find some there haha. I have been brooming all over canada and united states, you will recognize places from your country/state.
I hope to continue this serie and my exploration all over the world!
So i share with you the broom man serie!

I love it! Some of these places look quite incredible (16, 19, 21, 22, 41, 43, 48, 49, 53) and I love the shot of multiple you sweeping in "Église Notre-Dame de la paix." Also glad to see the Book Tower is still accessible! Keep up the wonderful work!
There's the crazy one, the photographer, and me, the driver, a mix of both. And we're a pretty kickass team if I do say so myself.

Great stuff!! Love the one at Grossingers pool, one of my favorite urbex experiences was entering that room for the first time. Is that a floor buffer you are using there?

This beats the ass shot series I've been working on. Some of those places are marvelous. And I've been to a good amount of those locations myself. It's refreshing to see a humorous and new take on the places. Congratulations and keep it up. Keep it updated as you go!
Really like the fact that you appear to be working hard cleaning almost as if you were the man on the nightshift janitorial service... Especially in 31..the dust is flying! These are original and well done!
I hope this year will be a big year of explorations like 2014 and 2015 was! (almost 80 locations all around North America)
There is maybe the quarter of the locations i have done that was having no brooms, but i will never cheat with bringing one lol, that would break the 'authenticity' of the shots.
But even if there is some place that there is none, it's crazy sometimes that i find a broom in a complete unusual place.
90% of the time, the shots are taken where is find them and/or realy close. People don't know that but for me it keep even more the autenticity. There is always a little story behind each shot.
In picture no.12, my friends said, if today you find a broom, you have to take the shot shirtless and exactly where you find it. It was -25, the broom was fucking out of nowhere on the crane!
No.17, it's a steam tunnel, the ods where low, but there was one!
No.20, ask me why but there was like 40 brooms in that church, i had to do something with that and that how the idea come up.
No.22, i was in a infiltration in a 47 story highrise, security saw me on the cams on my way up but lost me, they was searching for me for 1h30 they said, when they caught me on my way down.
No. 36, the place was abandonned for decades, it burned the day after i visit it!
No.57, the broom was on the ledge of the roof just behind me!, it's a 42 story hihgrise.
No.65, The broom in the drain, i was impress!
No.69, Largest broom ive seen in my life, it was like 4 foot wide at least.

haha yes, on that one i wanted to give it a little 'reality effect' Thanks!
But for real, in real life i am doing it lol. I organize urban exploration meets each year in montreal since 2012, in an old malting plant. Look at this vidéo and albums ,it will give you more of an idea on the work behind it!
Thats just TOO COOL! I watched the video and WOW! what a job! You ARE working hard!! And, i really enjoyed when you pulled up that sofa with a robe. Looks like a great group of friends there
A place of Mystery is Always worth a curiosity trip!
