The moon bay marina in Kitimat was closed in June 2010, Land owner Rio Tinto Alcan was committed to the principle and core values of the company’s Environment Policy. This is quite ironic, after polluting the valley for the last 60 years, killing every second tree in the area, polluting the Kitimat River delta end of the channel and infecting every second old timer with cancer. At last they have become a responsible corporation and kicked out those evil ecoterrorists and irresponsible boat owners out of Moon Bay. 1. 1.
The Nelly Point : 1936 One of the boats built as a "live aboard". She's 40' long and build of steamed oak & yellow cedar. It was used for many years as a live aboard, then years as a fisheries patrol vessel. Now she sit abandoned and rotting away in the woods 30' above the ocean 2. 3.

Funny fact, the only thing that was not smashed inside the house, was a mirror inside the bathroom. everything else was broken. I guess the vandals around here are superstitious. 22.

It doesnt matter how you die. But only how you live.
Amazing. It's already under highlight on the charts.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!
Awesome photos and exploration. The damage done by corporations is utterly evil. On that note: Please sign anything against Shell drilling/destroying the Arctic. Pardon friendly hijack/ulterior motive comment. It ties in with your accurate comment about Alcan though. Smashing windows on that beautiful boat is a sign of the truly brain dead.
My sister is Charlotte Light and Dark. Who am I? Farewell and thank you... "I was doing something that I thought could have some impact someday. In many ways, it's really these photographs that kept me going creatively." Dennis Hopper |
