j-vic and I checked out this cool piece of naval history! She was a minesweeper built by Yarrows ltd in Esquimalt, commissioned December 12 1957 and served until august 22 1997. 1.

Very, very nice. I live in Halifax and I'm incredibly jealous that you guys get all the boats out there. I guess we build them here, and they get dumped out there. Looks like I'll have to plan a trip to the west coast again soon...

Oh man, this is cool! And she doesn't appear to be very badly decayed inside...I wonder how much work she'd need to make way under her own power?
do you know how to waltz? |

It looked like someone was in the middle of restoring it and then just up and abandoned it at some point. I don't know anything about engines, but it appeared that everything was still there and not in bad shape. It was my first time exploring a boat of any sort and it was pretty exciting. We will definitely be going back with a better camera.

Thanks guys, it was really cool to check out! It was a bummer my phone was almost dead so i didn't have a flash with any of the pictures, like j-vic said will have to return with proper cameras. as for it ever being sea worthy again I doubt it. I'm pretty sure she was sitting on the bottom, most of the hull was full of water. Would take a lot of money and resource to get her going again. Heres a cool picture of it when it was operational. 1.
