This fascinating ruin is a Nazi German rebuild of a Victorian harbor defense fort. The overgrown structures have a stunning view of the sea.

Bonus; the HMS Warrior was built five years after Fort Tourgis, in 1860. (OK, I'm nuts about decrepit ships.) With its steel hull, sail and screw propulsion and powerful guns, it was a forerunner of the ships that would make the fort obsolete.
