Popular Northern DE Textile Factory

I just found an incredibly popular UE spot in northern Delaware that's an old textile factory. I've lived within walking distance of it for a long time now and even knew about it, but never bothered to explore it. I went and scoped it out and did some online research and I'm a little spooked. It's next to some pretty rich town houses in a ritzy neighborhood and it has a few signs that say it's watched 24/7 by a security company. I also saw someone say two years ago it was proven to have radiation in the buildings? I definitely want to stay away if it has radiation, but my common sense is telling me that they'd have huge warning signs about the radiation if it was true. I really want to go in though, and I'm wondering how safe it is? Safe like, not getting radiation or arrested.

Also, anyone else in northern DE see the other popular spot (the boy's school) is on it's way to being torn down? They've already started on the pool room. I'm planning one last exploration to snap some photos before it comes down for good. They've made it easy too by ripping off all the doors.

I'd be hesitant to believe that it was radioactive. First off, what would they be making in a textile mill that would give off radiation, especially this far out from when it was active. Secondly, if it was giving off radiation, there'd be outcry over it, due to the proximity to homes, especially if it is an affluent neighbourhood.

As for security, if you're concerned, keep an eye on it. If you see patrols or active cameras, you may have more of a fight getting in there. If you don't see either, just make note of your path in, and the quickest way out, if you do set anything off.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. But who just goes around claiming buildings are radioactive? It seems like such an odd thing to say if it weren't true.

As for the security, I saw no cameras and I was the only person there, aside from people who lived there / park goers (it's in a park). There's only one really easy way in, but that way faces the town houses so it's probably not that safe of a bet. But it's such a huge complex that even if the cops were called, they would have an incredibly tough time finding me haha.
