Plymouth, once a Royal Navy stronghold and now a college town, has an interesting church ruin on the center island of its Charles Cross roundabout. It has no roof or windows; it's a clean-picked Gothic skeleton. There's no signage forbidding entry, but they don't make it easy for you either. The traffic swirls around the island quite fast. I hoped it would be safer to sprint across the road at night, and it was. Plus, I discovered that the ruin is floodlit (it's now a war memorial). More information about Charles Church is in the LDB, http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=31928 1.
