thanks guys, The place was quite fun to check out. I had my climbing gear and was intending on doing some rappelling off it. But we had other place we wanted to go before darkness. Next time i guess

Here is my 2 cents in Jan/2015 of the same location. We went up there which we have done many times before. This time around we were able to witness a special treat that none of us ever seen before.

My buddies and I were up at the dam today, it came to a total surprise to us that right near the death edge of the mountain close to where the dam sits has now been blocked up with rocks, not only rocks, 5-6 large boulders.
The rocks were heavy duty, spray painted with pink, The people I was with had open a small bit a room to allow Quads through. No F150 size. Next to your Vehicle is a 100 foot drop. My Jeep Barely got through! Dodge Dakota size trucks. We had passers who were also not impressed.
The dam itself has not been locked up once again ( until someone gets a shotgun up there ), the bottom part of the dam all fenced once again. It's definitely a bitch to get to the dry bottom side. I'm assuming the other side is the same form of difficulty which also imposes a sneaky camera possibly as well.
The reason I say this is due to an old outage that seemed to be ripped out of it's original place at the time of my first visit a year or 2 back. A lot of reinforcement to the structure, I don't want to waste anyone's time specifically for that purpose...other than that... everything is awesome up there.
