Nice work, Zod. I see a lot of familiar territory and you've captured it all exquisitely.

Thanks. Similar to Eastern State Penitentiary, Ellis Island has dozens of art installations and holds events with tourism in mind. A story about the artist responsible for much of what you see there, can be read here: http://www.nytimes...pital-to-life.html I guess it makes sense to turn these places into attractions, if that is the best or only way to generate enough interest/ revenue to preserve them indefinitely. The Ellis Island museum itself, is both beautiful and remarkably thorough, even though several parts of it are still removed because of Hurricane Sandy. One of my favorite exhibits was focused on contributions from photographers who visited the island when it was fully abandoned... a very long time ago. Their stories made me yearn for the days when this hobby wasn't so hip and "on the radar" Right now, this is what's happening there: http://www.widewal...island-by-jr-2015/

Man, you made your way down to about 20 minutes from my house! When did you hit Linfield?

Good question. I was at Linfield on January 1st, the same afternoon that the mysterious "BOOM" occurred (which was widely reported in the news) Even the police were puzzled, sought me out and asked me if I heard it. I was like "Yeah, it came from over there, about 3:30pm". LOL Like a huge bomb going off, but it was supposedly caused by the phenomenon of tectonic plates slowly shifting, without your typical earthquake-like tremors. I could be wrong but there aren't many other explanations. It certainly was not an airborne explosion.

Nice Job here… Linfield was quite possibly the most boring place I ever explored.

Really? I thought the place was pretty surreal.. and big.

Yes sir, its definitely big but its like 15 of the exact same buildings. One of the buildings had a list of caught trespassers written on the door jam. According to it there were two people caught there the day before we were there. LOL nonetheless, you did a nice job capturing these places.

If you are talking about the nuclear one (as opposed to the coal one) I was going to go near the plant, but skipped it because I didn't feel like dealing with any security, which I had to deal with later on anyways due to the explosion and my somewhat obvious parking job... lol. I managed to capture a time lapse of the cooling tower steam, which I can turn into an animated gif (or something).

someone needs to go down to ellis island and rip down all that pretentious frigtarded "art" bullshit that the hipster frog wanker "installed" there. What an atrocity.

I suppose I can understand your resentment, but it's not THAT bad. While I was actually there, I had zero percent attention paid to the negative, and came away learning something, especially from the museum. Not to mention that I'd still like to fuck the tour guide.

The art installation looks freaking cool to me, and the castle, is it in CT? a friend of mine is going to a castle somewhere in CT today, looks pretty interesting! also that picture reminds me why I enjoy winter exploring, I keep saying I'm excited for warmer weather but do I REALLY want to wade through thorns and poison anything once again? How quickly I forget.. oh and ticks.. I do not miss ticks
