Welp, in case you haven't seen my previous post, allow me to introduce myself. I am Kenny, a transplant from the Midwest--Chicago. I just wanted to share some Midwestern treasures with you all starting with prisons. Comments, questions, and critiques welcome.

Thanks! The one in OH--Mansfield Reformatory offers photo and guided tours. I am not sure if you recognized it but this was the prison used in The Shawshank Redemption. The prison back home in IL was.... let's say a little less accommodating.

One of my favorite spots thus far! (Not the tour one.) There's been a lot of heat there latelyish, though. I'm hoping things cool down soon, because i'd love to make a return trip. I didn't get enough time there!

Nice shots, by the way!

Thanks! Yeah! There was a lot to see, we only saw a small portion of the place before we were escorted out. Always had hoped to get back in and see some more but never had the opportunity sadly.
