Okay so, me and my friend went to Dee, OR a few weeks ago. Which I found somewhere on the internet listed as "abandoned" - NOT. There is an abandoned lumber bill.. kind of.. Anyways. So we drive BY the town first, because I missed the turn. We notice like 4 cars next to the buildings we want to see, but then we notice the water tower (which we had seen pictures of) coming up on us. So we pull over, get out for like 20 minutes, and take some pictures of the water tower. You can see some images below.I'm looking down from the hill and notice a bunch of stacked white boxes in the old lumber mill and wonder what they are.
There is a pipe space below the water tower, which I climbed down into. My friend goes "There's a bunch of bees up here, I think we are next to a bee's nest." He was pretty adamant about leaving to go into town, so we did. We drive by the buildings we want to see because, SURPRISE, there's people and cars. Not very many, we only saw one person, and like 4 cars. And a no trespassing sign, which was only an issue because there were PEOPLE. Like, WORKING. We really weren't expecting this, so we explore the OTHER side of this big creek/river (Google tells me it's Birdie Creek, and also a fork of a river, I'm not really sure), to see what we can find on the other side. We're driving through a grassy area that has a windy dirt road, I miss a turn that takes us closer to the river, but I just keep driving because there isn't really anywhere to turn around and I'm curious. We drive for a minute or two more, BOOM a turn pops up and I take a sharp left to get closer to the river. There's a bunch of white boxes.. I'm slowly creeping up on them.. There is weird stuff moving all over these boxes.. My friend yells "STOP!" and at the same time I realize what those white boxes are, and I slam on the brakes (which at 5-ishMPH isn't a big deal). "TURN AROUND" he says. "But we have to take pictures!" I reply. He sighs, defeated and because he knows I'm right. It was a bee farm. There is a picture below.
After we take a few pictures, we turn around. I go down the first turn I missed, which has no bee farm, but it has a small trail to the river. I climb down, and the trail leads to what looks like an old dam. I'm taking a bunch of pictures, standing on a mossy ledge. The things we do. I notice the white boxes in the old lumber mill, the same that I noticed when we were at the water tower. Now we know what they are, and why there were a bunch of bees at the water tower. My friend follows me down the trail, and takes a picture of me on the ledge (which is my display picture on here).
We get bored because there really isn't anything to do now, since, you know, BEE FARMS. We leave, a little disappointed, but with a slightly funny story. Sorry about the weird blur in the middle of some of the images, there was a small scratch on my camera lens.

I would call that a successful adventure, in that you were entertained and challenged and you survived. Good on not getting stung, in addition to not getting caught.
#2 subject and composition are good (I like pipes and valves). Looks like you might have used a flash. In that situation try to get by with natural lighting, it will add warmth and depth to the subject. You may need to use a tripod if it's dimly lit; or just brace your arms against some fixed object as well as you can, and be your own bipod. 8)

Funny thing, another UEer went to this same location, and all the bee boxes were gone. This was about a month ago I think. I should go back now haha.
That also explains the intense smell of fresh weed that we kept getting a whiff of. Stuff was strong.

Well since you guys have been told exactly where the spot is located I guess it can't hurt if I post another 50th of the posts I am required to be full member. Here are some of my pictures of the place I consider my favorite. Feel free to copy, download, sell, and reproduce. I obviously would prefer you not to but you can if your that type. Nothing could stop you from doing so besides me not posting.
I want you moderators to know that I am consciously aware of my slight tone of negativity. But I can tell you a truth about me and that is my personal depression and lack of self caring has increased my bravery and willingness to explore at a significant higher risk rate and level then a year ago. This is great for you because, once I am full member I will be a lot more comfortable posting spots for you guys.
Here are some of my pics from Dee OR. By the way if your stumped still on where it is maybe try typing DEE OREGON into your gps, and perhaps the red arrow will float right above one of the structures on site.

I have a suggestion for those of you that would prefer all the remaining spots not to be blown up, don't hashtag your photos on instagram or tag on the web. People including myself have become masters at putting photos together by different users with similar tags. Not only explores that respect the spot find them. Graffiti vandals, scrappers, security companies, and looters find them! I personally love it when I am one of the first to find a spot and its hardly touched. Almost as if still active or just abandoned.
