Ten years after
< on 2/12/2015 1:18 AM >

Came across this old snapshot from 2005, see if you can recognize any notable Dallas UE personages, at least 2 of whom are still active on UER. (note the lack of alcoholic beverages on that end of the table, we were actually going exploring after the meet-up/dinner)

That laptop was our own little DB of locations with scouting reports, images, entry details etc. it was The DEA "Football" I wonder what ever happened to it.

Lack of alcohol before exploring? That's odd.

It's always interesting to me to see how some people prefer to drink while/before exploring and some consciously don't. I think it's totally up to the person doing the exploring, but personally prefer to go sober. I always think that I'll hurt myself or make too much noise or something. But to those who do choose to drink out there, good on you, I can totally see how that'd make it way more fun.

Don't get me wrong, we did our share of drinking while exploring but only on trips like big drains where you couldn't mess up too bad if you were, messed up too bad.

...wasn't there an explorer in the NE who was drinking, fell onto the 3rd rail of the subway and was electrocuted to death...? Meh. No drinks for me.

I don't really drink too much in my daily life as it is, but when it comes to exploring I play it extra safe because I don't want to fall off a roof or something.

Beer heightens the senses and makes you invisible to cops.

The funny thing is it had the opposite effect on me. I never saw the cops coming so it must make them invisible!

I love my beer, but I normally wait to drink it until after a good explore. Also, it's hard to take good pictures when I got them alcohol shakes.

Drinking while exploring... No thanks. I can fall into a hole completely sober, thank you very much.

I guess because we're living in two different cities together.

I missed the big drain explore when you were in DFW , Im too old and out of shape to rappel like you young fellars.
