I'm pretty sure this place never had plumbing or electricity. I'm amazed it's still standing.

It's a pretty remote area with a lot of run-down buildings. A lot of them still seemed to be inhabited though.

Here's an abandoned house not too far from there. It's in pretty bad shape.


There were quite a few places that looked like junkyards:


A random bathtub in a field, with a makeshift roof:


Dozens of bee hives on a barren plot of land (the air was thick with buzzing when I took this picture:

I drove past one piece of land with many very small nondescript houses on it, and imagined it could have been a cult compound, but I didn't manage to get any pics of it. Very interesting drive that could provide a lot of inspiration for stories and artwork.
