Roadside Stops

Wow. Looks like I've found the motivation to post another set from my roadtrip last winter. One is an old cotton mill and the other is a small home. Neither was a large explore, but it was a good opportunity to stretch the legs after driving long hours. And it gave me a chance to work on my photography skills. Enjoy.

Nice little roadside find! I'm hoping to run across some little stops like this when I travel from Iowa out to LA to look at a college. My dream plan is to follow Route 66 from St. Louis out there and get the scenic and somewhat forgotten route but we'll see what happens. Anyways, Keep shooting, it's looking pretty good.

I really like that you seem to have a "the view that made me stop and explore" photo for each location that you've done while on a road trip. It's a nice little touch! Keep up the sets, man, they are looking really nice! I can't wait to see your side of the weekend. Then maybe I'll be shamed enough to put mine up.

Good find. Really liking #11, the way the cobwebs are on the suit looks really awesome!

Thank you! That sounds like a sweet plan for a roadtrip. There are all sorts of roadside attractions along Route 66, and I assume a lot of abandonments as well. Whenever I roadtrip, I try to stop whenever something catches my eye. It makes my trips a lot longer, but way more exciting. If you have the time, I would suggest the same. You find a lot of little gems that way.

Thanks man. I like to share with everyone the view that turned my head and made me pull over. Especially on a roadtrip, when I'm driving and only have a few seconds to look at and process a site before deciding to stop or not.

I've never seen cobwebs that thick in my life. It was super photogenic for me.

And I don't think I did Astro. It looked pretty icky...
