"Smoke rises from the ice factory on the edge, on the edge of a city that exist in perpetual gloom. I snatch a note from the basket of a passing bicycle - "Go to the flour factory. There's something waiting there for you."
Under the window, covered by curtains, all lacy and spattered with blood, we find crutches in the corner and bullets on the shelves, which I dismiss at once as being equivalent, irrelevant, in and of themselves.
Underneath a staircase is a mast which flies a flag. Despite dankness beyond imagining, it floats on to a higher hole. In tunnels gouged beneath the basement rooms are, unmistakably, sets of bloody hand prints on a crumbling wall."
"First rule of space travel, kids, is always answer distress beacons. 9 out of 10 times it's a ship full of dead bodies and free shit."
"Are you happy now with all the choices you've made?" "Are there times in life when you know you should've stayed?" "Will you compromise and then realize the price is too much to pay?" "Winners and losers... which one will you be today?" ***Social Distortion***
There are three songs which I've always associated with Dixie Square Mall thanks to the promo videos for the never-finished documentary that was in the works about a decade ago. One of those actual promos (among several) recently went back up as it sounds like Paul McVay may actually finish the thing soon.
Supertramp - School
Faces - Flying
UFO - Love to Love
I tried to emulate the same vibe with my own DSM videos, though I used alot of Pink Floyd music because I was really into them at the time. There's some music out of left-field that I'll hear a few times and think "this would make a killer explore soundtrack". I wound up using one of those songs for my last DSM vid...
Oh, and this video got me briefly into GYBE...
I'll also admit listening to The Dark Knight soundtrack usually gets me pumped for an explore, especially at night.

I think this song was in some Dixie Square video...it hasn't inspired be to listen to any more Crystal method, but I still love it.
Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.
