Plymouth County Hospital (Cranberry Specialty Hospital)

I went here for the first time last week. Getting inside of the building is pretty easy. Once you get over the perimeter fence there are plenty of broken windows or open doors to get in. The building was completely trashed on the inside but still had a lot of cool things left laying around the rooms. There were tons of papers, patient records, medical journals, and magazines everywhere. I was there for close to two hours and didn't even get to go through the whole building. Just looking around the first, second, and third floors took awhile. It looks like there may be an attic, but there wasn't really any way to get up there. I never made it down to the basement or out to the other building that burnt down a few years ago, supposedly there are still some rooms intact. I figured I would post some of the pictures I took just so people could see a more current state. When I was looking up info on the hospital before I went I couldn't really find anything recent. Compared to other pictures I've seen, the building has really lost some of its lust over the past few years. Also, I read in quite a few places that the local police patrol the area, however I never saw them.1.

Sadly this building is the only one left. The nurses station and back end of the building is pretty much destroyed from fire. The second building that housed the theater is just a pile of rubble now. You can still get in from the main building and look around part of the first floor, but its probably not the safest idea.

This is a location that I've been researching but am somewhat frightened away by numerous news stories of arrests there (usually local teenagers, so perhaps they're being particularly obvious) and officials claiming that the buildings are extremely dangerous to enter at this point.

How would you rate the structural soundness?

I grew up two streets over from Plymouth County Hospital. Arrests happen there every week or two, and the site has heavy police patrols and especially around this time of year (Halloween).

And yes, the buildings are extremely dangerous. I have seen people fall through floors there. Also only half the hospital even has floors anymore. Its past its prime and not worth the risk anymore.

Hanson PD aren't the nicest bunch. They hate that property and get pissed when people are even walking by the main entrance on the main road. Only good news is that you probably won't get arrested if you are outside of the fence.

Thanks. That pretty much confirms my sense that this is a place I want to avoid.
