Wooden Roller Coaster

Once the largest wooden coaster in Florida, it has a 60° 100 ft drop and speeds up to 50 mph. This coaster opened in 2000 and closed in 2011. It is planned to be demolished as soon as next month.

It operated alongside a "family fun" type park (one of those places with go-karts, lazer tag, mini golf, etc) but it was owned and operated separately. The "family fun" place is still running, but its going to be shut down/demolished soon to make way for the same shopping center that the coaster is being demolished for.

They had high hopes for that coaster when they opened up and it got used lots. Sadly a wooden coaster in wet south florida was not a smart financial idea. The cost to keep it operating and maintained killed it

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.
