Yesterday, I had the opportunity to check out the old abandoned studios of the defunct radio station, KSOS, out in Hooper. What a crazy experience! It's literally like they just stood up and walker out leaving computers, microphones, soundboards how they were the day they closed up shop. I sadly was not able to get any pictures, but it was pretty wild.

are they boarded? easy to get into?

The site is easy to get to; it's just off a road in Hooper, Utah. It's pretty well locked down, however. The building is locked up tight and doesn't really have any windows. There is also a fence around the perimeter with a locked gate. While the studios are abandoned, the site is still used. Several cell and wireless internet companies use the old radio tower at the site to mount their antennas and have their transmission equipment inside the building. I was doing some installation work for one of these companies which is how I was able to gain access to the building.

Oh man, if you ever get called out to the site again, try to take along something for photos. It sounds pretty interesting in there.

I'll do my best. I was hoping to snap some photos with my cell when I was there but ended up running out of time. It's a shame because it's a beauty.

Here's a screenshot of the site from Street View in Google Earth. The imagery has a timestamp of 07/2012, but it looks exactly the same today.
