my favorite is "Rustic Autobody" near Peru NY. Acres and acres of old cars. http://www.oldcars...5_years_of_salvage

Theres an old mopar junkyard close too me that still has 50-60-70's muscle cars and such in it, the guy doesn't doo much business but its huge and mostly old stuff. last time I went he was loading scrap via piling it on a roof of a clean looking early Chrysler 300 and saw six or 7 challengers around back. I got to get there soon to see if I can get permission to walk around.

Posted by splumer A junk yard I often visit used to host "Junkstock," a poetry reading held among the junked cars. He also erected the first windmill in the Cleveland area and has lots of other interesting things in his yard. I saw the guts from a gran piano there once, set up so you could play it. Sorry, no pics. Here's his site: http://www.pearlroadautoparts.com/

'66 Bug with new heater channels, floorpans and 1/4 panels at the semi-local scam artist's shop. I'm sure it's an $8000 car. And he'll get it somehow. (Last plated in '88... welding doesn't look very recent, either.)

I follow a British wrecking yard employee on Flickr. This is a new casualty...
Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing. |

Ouch... that was probably someone's baby, too.

Those gas burner rims are worth some big money. Even the repros are pricey.

you know what rim I wish someone would do a modern reproduction of? Remember the 'slotted aluminum' wheels from the late 60's and 70's? I love those wheels. No one makes them repros of them in modern bolt patterns or offsets.

exactly that... i have always loved that style wheel.

had those on my gremlin

Ansen Sprints! Had those on a Fireturd with a Crossfire. The wheels were probably the best thing about the car, come to think of it...
dsankt: In fact, the day I die yall are welcome to form an orderly queue and run a train on my eye sockets. I'll be dead and frankly, will not give a f*ck. budda: That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Fuck me sideways this is insane. ~~~~~~ Because it's Cincinnati |

Today I found an import-only salvage and auction yard.
These were in it...
...and this was next door.

that poor lotus!

That's quite a solid looking 914- and it hasn't broken in half, so it's got good longitudinal rails. Worth saving.

That 911 makes me sad.

Saw this in the parking garage at work:
Only in Ohio could this thing be on the road legally.

Sweet Jesus. Do you have inspections in OH? Oh, and (unrelated) whenever I see a Juggalo, I assume it's from Ohio.
