Cameras at high end apartments

There are some 4 story, high end apartments in a nice tech neighborhood in a big intersection with a lot of booming business, essentially the "downtown" of my city (though not officially) as such, these apartments have medium security measures in place. As with anything, there were some holes in their security. One of the buildings had a staircase without key card access. From the 4th floor, one can open the door to the garage, which then has a (locked but not impassable) ladder to the roof. The door to the garage locks from the outside, and needs a key card to get back in. I was screwed. I did manage to get out, due to a lucky design flaw allowing me to jump down to a set of stairs that led out. (in every other way, it was like a high security prison. easy in, hard as fuck out.) I did notice however that there was an abundance of cameras on the lower level of the garage (where i jumped down too) and no trespassing, will prosecute signs. I alarmed no one, opened no fire doors, broke nothing. Should I worry about showing my face there ever again or can I go again at a later date? (Other than jumping from the 2nd to first level of the garage, i really did nothing a normal resident wouldn't do everyday) The reason I want to go back is because in my panic to find a way out of my prison, and in broad daylight, I didn't want to risk more trouble by going onto the roof. Next time, baby. Next time.

I doubt they would really care too much unless you were actually breaking another law or vandalizing- perhaps they did not even notice you were where you werent supposed to be. Generally cameras are for real time monitoring and the legal standing behind identifying you from simply a camera is flimsy at best if there is no other evidence. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if you go back to find that some of those security breaches you exploited have been sealed. I myself have gone back to a location to find sensors and locks on doors that were, the previous week, not there. Same goes for fixed fences and the like.

It doesn't matter. Unless you vandalized the property, you are merely trespassing, which unless you get caught in the act is usually a misdemeanor citation, unless otherwise stated.

I may wait to go back if the security actually checks their cameras and sees you got access, but most of the time those people are underpaid anyway and don't really care. The thing you have to worry about is motion sensors. That's my only fear when doing stuff like this. Normally they are around ladder hatches. I prefer ladders that are locked because you can still gain access and that usually means there aren't motion sensors. I doubt they have them in place from what you've stated above. Normally more of a concern on construction sites and antennae along with abandoned buildings smack dab in the city.
